Kristy M. Castagna
Partner
Kristy joined Kilcoyne & Nesbitt in 2021 as an experienced trial attorney handling professional liability matters and is now a partner at the firm.
Over her eighteen years as a defense attorney, Kristy has represented individuals and entities from every aspect of the healthcare sector including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, midwives, medical assistants, licensed therapists, chiropractors, dentists, hospitals, surgery centers, rehab centers, nursing homes and office practices. Kristy has successfully defended her clients against claims involving professional negligence, informed consent, corporate negligence, premises liability, licensing issues, and more. Some of her recent accomplishments in the courtroom include obtaining a nonsuit for a urologist by challenging the adequacy of expert testimony offered at trial, procuring a transfer of venue out of Philadelphia despite her client having a principal place of business in Philadelphia, and successfully defending a healthcare facility against a claimed slip and fall by a patient. Kristy credits her accomplishments to her strong work ethic instilled in her by her parents, the mentoring she received and continues to receive from skilled attorneys in the firm, and the team of associates, paralegals, and legal assistants she utilizes who are equally as invested in obtaining a positive result in each and every case.
