Sean brings more than 30 years of experience in medical malpractice defense to the Kilcoyne & Nesbitt team.

As a seasoned litigator, Sean concentrates his practice on defending physicians, nurses, physician assistants, hospitals, and healthcare systems in all facets of litigation throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as in various alternative dispute resolution formats, including mediation and arbitration.  Sean’s current area of practice was honed at several large Philadelphia-area law firms, where he assisted a diverse array of clients in medical malpractice and insurance-related matters.

Sean has been involved in numerous high-exposure cases. He obtained a defense award in a Philadelphia County private arbitration case involving alleged failure to perform emergent surgery on a fractured arm. Sean also obtained a defense verdict for a physician in a Philadelphia County case involving alleged failure to diagnose diabetes, as well as a defense verdict for a facility in a Delaware County case involving alleged failure to monitor psychotropic drugs.

Sean received a J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1992. While there, he served as the Assistant Editor and later, Notes/Comments Editor of the Temple University Environmental Law and Technology Journal. He also graduated summa cum laude from Temple University with a B.A. in Communications in 1989.

Sean is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
