Unanimous Verdict in Orthopedic Doctor’s Favor

Congratulations to Kyle N. Thompson and Kristy Castagna for securing a defense verdict on behalf of an orthopedist. Plaintiff alleged significant (three centimeter) leg length discrepancy following hip replacement resulting in the need for revision of the hip replacement and subsequent spinal surgery. The defense team was able to establish that a leg length discrepancy is an inherent risk of hip replacement, and the jury returned a unanimous verdict in the doctor’s favor.
