Kristy M. Castagna

Kristy joined Kilcoyne & Nesbitt in 2021 as an experienced trial attorney handling professional liability matters. She has successfully defended professionals in the insurance, healthcare and legal sectors including physicians, nurses, hospitals, licensed therapists, dentists, attorneys, insurance agents, and insurance brokers. Kristy also manages general liability matters for health care facilities and other entities and maintains a robust appellate practice. Some of her recent accomplishments include successfully defending her client in an arbitration matter by discovering evidence on social media websites which negated plaintiff’s injury claim and resolving a professional malpractice lawsuit by uncovering evidence that the plaintiff failed to report their personal injury claim in a bankruptcy proceeding.

Kristy graduated from Gwynedd Mercy University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She graduated from Widener University School of Law in 2007. During law school, Kristy was a legal intern with the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the firm, Kristy was at a Philadelphia based law firm handling professional malpractice matters.

As part of her commitment to Continuing Legal Education, Kristy has taught over 30 seminars in risk management. Most of these seminars have been for attorneys, physicians, accountants, and other professionals. She also volunteers with the Montgomery County Child Advocacy Program providing representation to children in criminal, protection from abuse, and other family court proceedings.
